Quite a while ago I was reading some Nostradamus. Who knows if this is real or made-up. I don’t know and I’ve never dug into it. One of his stories, written sometime in the mid 1500’s, describes a man standing at the southern shore of England holding a flat stone in his hand. And by speaking into this stone he was able to communicate with a man on the other side of the Channel. Why that story should pop into mind defies me. But, what the heck, I liked the image on its own.
